I travel a lot for work, and spend anywhere from 70 - 120 nights a year in a tent all over the west, mostly in Nevada, but also California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, etc. This will be a collective of photos I've had in wandering all over. I hope you all enjoy.
While spending a few rest days in Twin Falls, ID, I headed on up to the Craters of the Moon National Monument. It was really pretty up there, though a bit windy. I wish I had had more time to explore and stop by a few more things while there.
Showing the view of the Spatter Cones from the top of the Inferno Cone.
Climbing through the inside of Indian Tunnel, and it doesn't look big until you realize that there are people climbing up the rock pile.

Hey man. I've been busy around. October I spent just north of Jarbidge, working on the Owhyee Plateau. We had some nice views of the Bruneau River gorge.
Also checked out the Bristlecone Pine Forest. I wish I'd had more time to spend there. I went up on a whim after a backpacking trip fell through, and decided to stop by here on my way to try and hime Boundary Peak (which also didn't happen..). So I'll just have to go back at some point.
My setup as of right now. It's not the best setup, or the cleanest, but this has been working out for me for most of the summer. I've been home 7 nights since the beginning of August.
Also around Lone Pine :
The Taboose Creek fire sure made a pretty sunrise.
On a couple of my days back home in between work in September, I was able to do some backpacking up in the Caribou Wilderness, next to Lassen National Park.
