Good source for windows?

Hello folks,
I recently picked up a Gem Top to be used on our old truck, and I would like to add more windows down the sides. Trouble is, I can’t seem to come up with any affordable options. I have been searching for things like RV windows, camper windows, topper windows. There are plenty of cool options but many of them are $2-300. I’m thinking I need just plain glass windows with frames but so far haven’t found them. Anyone have a place that they have purchased something like this? I tried making my own plexiglass windows on the last top we had but they didn’t turn out very well unfortunately. Thanks guys!

You might be able to get some inexpensive used ones from someone parting out an old camper. Check local junkyards for toppers with a missing back window and salvage the side windows for yours.

I break glass ones. :(
With my new build I will make my own. I don't like any of the commercial options. They will be glazed in scratch resistant 3mm polycarbonate which is unbreakable.

I bought mine from an RV wrecking yard.

5 plus a door for $500. Dirtier now with all our boondocking than there were when I got them.

Try craigslist for a trailer or RV being parted out.

I bought 3 of these a few years ago and decided not to use them. Still new. I figured I'd get standard size sliders in case I'd need to replace them. I think they are 18x15, awning style with a crank. PM if interested.

I started my camper with a budget of $0.oo and a 3 week time line.

I used plate glass sliders from a house we demolished, 1/4" plate glass which slid in slots in the wood jamb and had little brass levers to "seal" them. I bedded the plate in a generous bead of silicone and was sure they would eventually break. Well 5 years and thousands of miles later they are still working.

I love how big they are and being glass they are soo clear.

I have added fold down tables which cover the windows when up.

Find an old screen door or two and cut glass and aluminium frame to suit.
With some crafty craftsmanship you could incorporate the vertical slider and screen functions.
Another option, windows from a schoolbus which also use a vertical slider and likely use tempered glass.

There was a company, All Glass I think that sold replacement parts for screen doors. Incredibly reasonable prices. Every hardware store used to buy from them.

Found the Edmonton outlet....

Let me measure it out and see if those would make any sense thank you.

Some good ideas. I think we have a used camper parts store here in Bozeman but they may have gone the way of the dodo.

The table as a storm shutter/travel cover is a great idea.

Spent a few moments getting the top set on my truck today, still needs to be affixed to the bed but it’s a start anyway
