Hey there! I am planning to leave for the TransAmericaTrail in about a month. I have purchased the GPS tracks from Sam, but cannot figure out how to use them. they are just tracks(qdb files). I know absolutely nothing about gps. I have base camp and i have imported the tracks into base camp, but that is as far as i have gotten. I really want to use my ipad for gps, but I dont know what software I need or how to convert the tracks from garmin so that they will work on the ipad. I also have a garmin nuvi 2589 and garmin glo for my iphone and ipad.

What should I do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If they display in Basecamp, go to the list on the left hand panel and select it, assuming you have it all contained in a list.

Then go to 'FILE' -> Export -> Export List_name_here

Then the dialog will appear to save a GPX file, which is pretty much the go to standard for GPS data and should be recognized by most devices.
