Group 34 Batteries in JK?

I know you can fit two Group 34 batteries in the JK if you use the Benchmark Designs dual battery tray. However, since I am not ready yet to plunk down the money for a dual battery setup, will a single group 34 battery fit in the stock JK location?

Yes it'll fit perfectly. I'm currently running the size 34 Sears Platinum AGM (rebadged odyssey).

There is another alternative (the direction I opted to go). AEV makes a battery tray designed to hold a group 31 battery. The tray is about half the cost of the Benchmark setup, is a perfect fit and doesn’t require cutting your stock tray. The tray is part of their Hemi kit but is available separately.

I know it isn’t what you asked about; just another option.
