H itch wiring harnes S

Hey all,

I just threw a hitch on my o7 taco and need to wire it. It is a curt hitch that was 69 bucks from uhaul, seems reasonable. What is the best harness to get that is zero/no splice but plug and play? Where do you think i should get it and what kind?

flat 4 or 7 pole?

This is probably what you need to get started. You'll need more stuff for the 7 pole.

when i put a trailer brake controller on my 08 i coulod not find a plug in kit for it. it did not come with the factory tow package so had to fabricate. it did however coem with a 4 flat, but still had to do some wiring. not complicated, but time consuming.

If you need a 4-flat, I got mine from Autozone for ~$35. Plug n play. Installed in about 30 minutes.

If you are towing a boat I highly recommend installing a factory harness. It put the trailer on a separate fused circuit so you do not take out your trucks electrical when your boat trailer shorts.
