Half Cabs

Has anyone ever put a half cab on their jeep?

I put a Black Mountain half cab on a 1996 TJ. Fairly straight foroward simple process.... why? :coffeedrink:

Would really have liked to put one on my old CJ7, but I didn't like the compromises I would have made to make it work (I'm talking about the rollcage).

You should look at www.gr8tops.com. Matt (owner) does an amazing job with those tops! I'd be all over one of these if my daughters (ages 9 & 7) were older, and they weren't my regular co-pilots.

EDIT: GR8TOPS offers a CJ 1/2 hardtop kit, but an OEM Scrambler 1/2 top/bulkhead would be the way to go. There are trade-offs for everything...addressing the rollbar issue is the trade-off for the style of the 1/2 cab.

Here is a buddies YJ with a Scrambler top. I guess its a straight swap, he has the hard doors too.

In the mid-ish 90's Danny Grimes had his "1/2 Breed" CJ8 1/2 cab'd YJ on the cover of 4WD & SU. I'm sure that he wasn't the first either.
