HAMBO's trailer

As if I didn't have enough projects I just stumbled onto this poor thing. It's a 1998 Crestline that I bought for $850usd! It even had a 1/2 tank of diesel and at today's diesel price here in BC it basically brings the purchase price to $750, lol

It has a higher mileage 7.3 (285k miles or 460k km) but it runs fine and tranny has been rebuilt at around 150k miles).

No, I'm not starting another conversion or even flipping it. I'll sell the engine, tranny and rear axle and build myself a cool trailer to match my Hambo :D

I'll get a custom 6000lbs axle with electric brakes, paint it battleship gray to match my poptop roof and gut the interior.

I'm taking off travelling for 3 months this summer, not sure I'll have time to get it done before I leave though. Might need to wait till fall...

Cheers!
David

Nice score David! Trailer seems like a great option for people with kids. Plenty of extra room for gear/toys as well.
Suspect you'll be making money on parting it out/selling scrap.

I guess it could come handy for the kids gears but I'm mainly looking to replace my current trailer (M1102). Kids have turned into teens so tougher to haul them around!

I wanted something covered that I could securely lock my gears while I travel. Bikes, veggie oil, fire wood, etc.

Once I take the tranny out it will allow me to build a fairly large extra fuel tank and/or water tank with a very low COG between the frame.

And same rims/tires as the front unit...

Cool find. It’s a lot like the deal I got on my ‘97 Crestline. Sometimes a deal crosses your path that’s too great to pass up.

Let me know what you’re doing with some of the spare electronics… there are a couple things I’d like to get my hands on if they weren’t stripped already.

hmmm.. I hadn't thought of the parts. @Abitibi If you don't have plans for the breaker panel I'd probably take it off your hands. @Bikersmurf I'll be redoing my electrical later this year. Let me know what you need as most the stock electrical is coming out.

Yes boyz, you can have whatever you want from the electrical panel. I'll take a picture later on of what's left...
