Hardigg Case Modifications?

Hello everyone!

I love everything about my surplus cases except for two things:
1) The weight! (Not much I can do about that though)
2) The butterfly latches! Having to undo 8 butterfly latches just to get into the box is so frustrating!

Many times I have considered selling my Hardigg cases because of my dislike for butterfly latches.

Has anyone done any cool modifications to these latches or the cases in general that make them better?

1. Put some Plasti Dip on the latches and they're a lot easier to use.
2. They actually seal up pretty well with just the front latch closed, so I only close them all when I know I'm headed through some real weather.
3. Get some reasonable sized cases, man. I could bury a body in each of those. I think mine are like 21" square by 10" deep, and that the biggest box I'd want to throw around, especially on and off a roof rack.
