Has anyone ever heard of Tactical Armor Group?

I am looking at getting front and rear bumpers for my fronty. I have Shrock sliders and was planning on going with them, but I came across these guys. They seem to be pretty small still but I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about them.

hmmm that's a bummer... Their bumpers look pretty cool... I priced theirs vs Shrock and Shrock was $698 less for the pair ... That's almost a 40" Rigid LED bar :Wow1:

Guess I will have to stick with shrock. I will feel better having all the armor match anyway :)

I've experienced bad things from them in terms of service and communications in their previous incarnation as Kennesaw Mountain. I've actually been quite pleased with the quality of the winch bumper for my Colorado but the buying experience sucked big time.

The estimate of ship time wound up being build time after they finally got around to actually building it. The only person on their staff who could answer any questions was either on vacation for weeks or had "just stepped out" every time I called and did not return calls. Once they finally built and shipped it, they got around to placing the order for drop shipping from someone else for the lights to be mounted on board (couldn't give me specs ahead of time or adjust for my sourced lights). So after I finally got the thing, I waited weeks for lights to put in from the rear and actually mount the thing.

I liked the bumper, I like the quality of the build (although I've heard from others who got sloppy welds), but dealing with them just made the whole process way too unpleasant to consider sourcing anything else from them.

(Mrs. Lincoln says other than that, she enjoyed the play.)

Shrockworks doesn't have a Titan bumper on their website, do they make one? any pics? Price? I've been searching for a little bit too. Found: Rocky Road, Hefty FabWorks, Buckstop, And one built by RLC Fabworks off of TitanTalk. Seems there was another but cant find the link.

Also do a search on their old company name Kennesaw Mountain Bumpers and see what the net has to say about them. I have no experience with them but just wanted to pass on their former company name so you get more background on them.

The products they make look cool and the fact that they actually have front and rear bumpers for a 97-03 F150 is pretty sweet...but I have also heard negative things about them on this forum and on an f150 forum.

I was looking into a bumper from them recently...

I did a little digging and found a story about a guy who ordered a bumper and it took 6 months to get to him. When it finally did, the coating was really terrible. There were some spots not even covered. Nothing was welded on straight, and the welds looked kinda funny. He scratched at them with a finger nail and peeled off a bead of RTV silicone that covered some really awful looking welds.

I'd stay away for sure.

I have no idea about the Titan stuff, if it's not on their website then I doubt it.

I got this one for $960 with two holes cut for fog lights at a place called Badland Bumper near Seattle WA. They built it in about about a week. It was great working with these guys. Id go back. The guy Jeff that runs it gave me a ride to the bank in the next town, hes a great person and great to work with. No complaints and he let me pay (no sales tax!bumper.jpg) cash too.
