Head Gasket on a 91 E150

How difficult is replacing the head gasket on 91 E150 with the 5.8L V-8? I'm looking at buying one for a song but it needs a head gasket and radiator. Thoughts?

It can be done but you will be cussing. When I was a kid we borrowed my dads chevy c20 conversion van for a road trip to colorado to go rock climbing and somewhere in the middle of Kansas we blew a head gasket. So I dropped two plugs out limped down the shoulder then 20 miles down some back country road to some podunk town that had one autoparts store with one head gasket to fit a chevy 350 (perfect) we found an empty parking lot and six hours later we were on the road again. Some things are easier to get to in a van than a truck but getting that big intake out will be a pain in the ***. I pulled the 351 out of my old van and the thing barely fit out of the opening. Once you get the intake out of the way it should be a skate in the park.
