Headlight Guard Instalation?

I just got a set and they only came with the hardware, no template or anything. Is this something I can do just by eye? Any other tips I need to be aware off?

Basically yes, attach the clips to the guard then line it up with your headlight surround and mark where the screw holes are, lots of photos online for reference.

Make sure you mount it with the two 'hinge' clips at the top so if it were to pop open on a trail the guard would stay flush with the light and not fold down
