Heated Steering Wheel - Wrangler JK

So Jeep has the heated steering wheel in the Cherokee and GC, but naturally they use a different steering wheel for the JK. I'm completely clueless as to why they wouldn't give this to us as an option. I mean when I ordered my JK, I easily would have paid several hundred dollars to have this option - maybe more. However it's not something that Jeep in their infinite wisdom decided to allow us to have. What's worse is there doesn't even look to be an easy solution to resolve this (without going with the cheap crappy heated s.wheel cover).

Googling things, all I've managed to come across is this thread where someone is trying to swap another steering wheel into the JK, however there's definitely some fab work that's required there. Doesn't look too crazy... but for someone who has no metal shop or whatnot to do some of the stuff he's doing, I can't even go that route unless I had a shop do the work. I'd happily pay for that... but without trying to find some shop that does customization work, that's not even an option. And even if I did find a shop that might do it... considering what it is... would they actually do it?

All I want is a heated steering wheel in my JK which is my DD. Considering where I live... is that really too much to ask!?

Just busting your balls. You are right, it doesn't make any sense to me either to offer heated leather and not a heated steering wheel. Sounds like a REAL pita to do retro fit.
