Heavy duty alternator option for G500?

Does anybody have a source of info on heavy duty alternators for G500's? If so please let me know. I have a National Luna dual battery system and fridge/freezer and want to make sure I'm not overdoing it with my alternator. I imagine that it can "handle" it, but would prefer to have some excess capacity if an option is available. Thanks for your help!
 
The biggest NL Fridge freezer draws a maximum of 2.5 Amps or an average of 2.67 Amp-hrs.

The factory alternator is 150 Amp. Why would you need more?

I also heard that at least on the 5 cylinder diesel MB sprinters - the optional 200 amp alternator required different pulleys as it used dual belts in order to make it work.

I have a 150 amp alternator in my sprinter and it does very well even with a 600 amp-hour battery bank and a 2800 watt inverter and a large norcold fridge.
 
Most older G's (W460) run a 55A alternator. And plenty of them run fridges. Obviously they had a lot less elecronics to support.
I would only look at a bigger unit (>90A) if I had to support dual batteries with a regularly used electric winch.
 
My 1984 280GE (W460 - M110) had an 80 Amp alternator from the factory. A 70 Amp or a 90 Amp alternator was available on other engines (M102 & M103).
