Found a sail boat winch handle for $5.00 and ordered a new modified gear assy from "Canvas Replacements" drilled out old sail boat nose piece and installed with drive pin the new gears. The new gears have a longer gear teeth. They also sell the new nose gear on EBay--eBay item number:131231445736 see pic Just FYI=brian

Do you have any clearance problems on the first crank... does your hand or the crank hit the top?

Dave. No problems with original crank for clearance, Just thought I can make the crank better and easier to wind-up roof. And it does.=brian
