Help me please with trying to decide 12 volt or 24 volt

Hello there

I was wondering if anyone can help me to decide if I should be using 24 volt accessories or 13 volt accessories. My G-Class has both options as it has two alternators. But I am wondering what the advantages might be using 24 volts vs 12 volt accessories like winches and inverters and radios etc...

Expocool aside, there would be an advantage to running a winch or sizable inverter at 24 V. If only for being able to use smaller cables or reduce voltage drop.
