Seems like one of the wheels is not engaging... Have no code active on system and found this vacuum line disconected... All other lines in this cluster attach to the A B Solenoid pack... 2004 MONTERO LIMITED 6G75 3.8L ACTIVE-TRAC... THANKS FOR READING...

Every time I read things like this, a disconnected vacuum line, a burnt wire, a failed relay related to the modern AWD systems, I swear my next 4x4 will have a carburetor and a mechanical lever bolted direct to the transfer case. No computers or multiplexing or traction control. Just shift and lock and go.

Been through everything available online and it's nearly impossible to tell where it should go... The colored vacuum lines I could track down to the transmission but not sure weather the missing one attaches to a solenoid the computer is able to monitor or just a vacuum line that engages an axle...

Goes no where, just needs a cap on it.
Thank You... Don't know if anyone has run into transmission issues for not having that vacuum line plugged but it now works and it should not be left unplugged... Seems that line is intended for testing the AT/CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE ASSEMBLY... This vacuum line is common to the seven solenoid cluster attached to the transmission case... Thank You...

I know where you are coming from...I'd also add making it a '75 or older if you live in California...the smog nightmare disappears.

You followed me, so now we're both lost
That line is the differential breather line. It normally has a rubber cap/valve to keep water out, but still vent pressure while in use. I had to bypass it for my rear diff and install another diff breather setup.

It is quite easy to extend the breather line.
I used fuel line and a Toyota differential breather and extended it to the top of the fire wall.
Also extended the transmission and transfer case breathers to the same location...these are a bit hard to get at, but worth it IMHO.

Cheers
