Help with Waeco CF-50

I just got a craigslist score, a Waeco CF-50 for $225. It is in excellent condition, the only thing is, it doesn't have a basket. The owner tossed it when he bought it. I would like to get another one, as it is easier to load, unload, and probably gets better circulation with it. I tried calling Dometic (owners of Waeco), to get one but they said they have a part number, but none in stock and don't know if they will get anymore in. I contacted Martyn at AT, to see if he could some how get one, and he couldn't get one either(thank you sir for trying). So, does any one know where I can get a repacement basket for my CF-50? Any one happen to have a spare in the garage?

If not, any one have pics or ideas for other bins or baskets for organization?

I also need an owner's manual. I tried looking online and came up with nada. Any ideas on that one?

Try contacting Southern California Marine Enterprises (http://www.southerncalmarine.com/). They sell and service waecos. I have ordered parts through them before. I ordered a replacement lid and it took some time due to customs, but I did finally get it. If anyone can get the basket, they could. The contact is Chris Muntz.

Dometic does have a lot of info online, but no owners manual. I'd b happy to pdf mine and email it to you. PM me your email address and I'll try to scan it within the next few days.

I would also recommend you buy the insulating cover. They run about 50 bucks and are well worth it. The waeco's lid doesn't seal as well as I think it should and the insulating cover does a good job compensating for this and I think it reduces power consumption.

Congratulations on such a great deal! Be sure and wire it up with a sufficient sized cabling. The stock cigarette jack often has too much voltage loss. Some people also replaced the 12v fused plug on the Waeco for the same reason.

Start on page 26 for English. Also be keep in mind this is for their latest fridges with the newer control/display.

I stole one from my wife's kitchen supplies

Check wal-Mart, Costco, Pennys-etc

Just take the measurements and search, mine fits PERFECT
