New guy to the board,
I live over in Prescott Valley and do most of my riding commuting back and forth to work.

I see you spend a lot of time building new and maintaining Prescott area trails.
Do you belong to a local club or are you doing this with a group of like minded riders?

I'm going to have extra time next year starting after the New Year and would like to get involved.

I was an avid moutain biker back in the early 90s and with family obligations it took a back seat for 20 years. I'm looking to fill some time helping with trails and meeting other riders to ride with.

Welcome to ExPo!

Always good to hear of another rider eager to put the tools to the trail and not just the tires.

There are a few avenues available for trail work in Prescott. Currently, much of the trail building and maintaining energies are being channeled through Prescott's new bicycle club: The Prescott Mountain Bike Alliance. This new club was formed this year. The chairman of the Trails Committee is John Shumaker, or "Shu" as most local riders know him. He can be reached via the club's web site and email links:

There's actually a trail day scheduled for Saturday at Thumbe Butte Parking area at 8:00 AM. There are also informal trail days for brushing.

Shoot me a PM if you would like more detailed info. Welcome to the local riding community!
