Hi-top to Pop-top?

I've found a van that has a hi-top on it already. I've decided I want to try to hi-top to see what I think about it considering the expense is so much less, but has anyone scrapped the hi-top and gone to a pop-top later? Not sure if this would even be possible.

I considered the same earlier. I gave up because It all depends on how the top is cut. Most high top installs cut the roof very close to the edge. The sportsmobile top is cut further in, and further back from the windshield. I couldn't get hard measurements on either so I bailed on the idea.

Post back if you do it! Or you get hard measurements on them.

Not sure if I missed it, but I didn't see anyone mention going from a hi-top to a pop top. The van I'm looking at has a hi-top. I'm trying to figure out if I buy this van, am I then 100% committed to the hi-top.

I think it depends on how the factory roof is cut and how a pop top mounts.

I think CCV (Colorado camper van) offers a hi-top pop-top combo. Maybe a call to them for an inquiry re: the cut dimensions and their setup?
