I finally got around to putting my hold downs together:

300 pound porch swing springs, chain and connectors.

TorqueLifts under the front that I purchased at Amazon

These little buggers from Happijac were on the truck from the previous owner. But they were rusty so I replaced them from Amazon.

Those turn buckles and springs don't look up to job. The eye bolts in the buckles aren't welded. Do you know what they're rated for? If I was doing this I'd spend the money and get the Happijack tie downs. Not worth risking dumping the camper for the money saved.
This looks like the same buckles on my fence that barely carry the weight of a gate.

The turnbuckles are rated at 1000 ponds. The springs are 300 pounds each. But on full compression they are 1200 pounds. All the other hardware is a minmum of 1000 pounds........this is EACH.

The camper weighs 1200 pounds. A few years ago I had a much larger, hardside camper with much more wind resistance and I used the same set up for near 10 years. I think I'm good to go.

Thanks for the concern...
