I used full extension slides from home depot inside the cabinet in my trailer, two rails with a plywood panel between them.
If needing a free standing slide you can make a base with two rails to attach the stationary part of the slides to.and cross members or just a plywood base. It is held in place with plumbers tape (metal strips with lots of holes) screwed into the inserts of the handles
I originally used Home Depot slides on mine, but after a couple years the ball bearings started to fall out, so with Home Depot no longer selling the 24" full-extension version I had, I went with Knape & Vogt #8400 slides. The KV slides, though made in china like the HD slides, seem significantly sturdier than the HD slides, so hopefully they'll last a bit longer (they do take quite a beating on washboard roads).
(yes the bungees are turnbuckles now)
