Honda NX650 Dominator?

What is the word on the NX650 as a good solid dual sport travel bike?
I'm looking at 1 up with gear. Possibly hard panniers but could go solt bags.

I'm looking for a middle weight bike that is affordable and reliable for dirt roads and general ADV travel.
This will be bought and used in South America. Chile to be specific.
I know little about these bikes as they where in the US for 2 years? But they are here in Chile and Honda makes reliable stuff back in the states, so I'm looking.

Any input would be appreciated.

Currently a 1993 year model is for sale local (Santiago) at about $4300 USD. Or $2,750,000 pesos. +/-.

I remember the magazines having mostly favorable reviews of the bike when they were sold in the US.

They only came to the US for 2 years, so there may be better info from South American and Australian members. But it seems like it is a street biased XR650L - hard to go wrong with that!
