Well been awhile since I posted anything new on my 95 4x4 E 350 Van !
Just got the two air intakes cut and installed for my twin K&N set up for the 7.3 PSD.
The Hood scoops fit perfect to the shape of the ford Hood there Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X carbon fiber hood scoops .
You can buy em on ebay they can run up over $200 each but I got mine on ebay from Latvia or some Euro country for like $40 each.
It was a pure Gamble on if they would fit but it blew me away how perfect they droped in just had to tape the nose down abit while the epoxy set and there perfect flush with the original fiberglass hood surface.
I like the recessed look better than a raised scoop.
Im still working on the inside but its gona work good I have to finish the side supports and put a drain the floor of the K&N shroud.

Anyway looks better than a hood scoop poking up the other way.
Filters in the pictures are cheep China crap but I have ordered the exact same size in real K&N filters.
still more body work needed then time to paint her.
Van is Running perfect now since I rebuilt the rear end and put in a new VSS ring gear.
I got a new alarm system installed and now she has the key fob so you can lock and unlock the doors as you walk away from her.
Also has AMP research power up and down running boards.

That's pretty slick and it looks sharp. Any info on the T intake piping you've got there?

Ebay as well its 3.5 dia Pipe and the adapters it comes with fit right onto my original air intake hose I just cut it off threw away all the crappy air box and original air filter compartment. Just do a search on ebay for air filter Y pipes the kits will come up. the filters might be OK but im not gona risk it when K&N sells the exact same size filter.
Its way easyer to get into the engine top area with this set up to as it comes out easy.

Quick question...is the IAT sensor welded in the back of that thing, or does it run without it?

No sensor in the T
there is a tube you can put a hose to on the back side but my van runs without that I just have it pluged.

Really sweet looking vent and filter set-up! Have you noticed any performance or mileage improvements with it?

What about rain, snow and ice?

Theres a scoop being installed on the under side of the hood going under the vents forward that any water snow ext that enters the scoop holes will run forward and drain down the front of the rad.
Air will still flow to the K&Ns and any water that runs under them will just drain out two drain holes with tubes.
We don't get any snow here so that's not that big a concern for me on Vancouver Island but rain is. we get a ton on rain.
only just installed it so cant say if it will improve anything but I like the look of it.

Do you still have the old housing? My lid is cracked and patched... And you're the first I know on this rock.

Is there an exact link to where the vents can be found?

I came to the same conclusion that they look the best but can't find a good price

Also does anyone have input on what the factory 7.3 air box is worth?

In the US you can get them for $75 plus a couple bucks shipping from the wreckers... the only one here that replied to me wanted $200. Which is a little steep for a part that is fixed... and I'm the only one who knows there is a crack at the back edge.
