How do you keep your window covers open?

I was at a trials event and wanted to leave my windows open when I was riding, there was a chance of rain so I didn’t. That evening the camper was hot, so I wanted to make a way to hold the covers open for the breeze and not the sun or rain.
This is what I came up with

I made them by sewing up some sleeves and velcro and putting strips of wood in them
