Since I live in rust country I would say it's not unfixable. I would give a price that you think is a screaming deal. What would cost to get another van and use this for parts. Is it something you can do or do you have to pay.

I grew up in the North East where everything rusts. I now live in Northern CA (the Bay Area) and out here those old GM vans are very inexpensive,$300 and up.I bought a few of them in the past few years and used them for parts.( I got a Loaded with options, running and driving 1995 for $400 so I could put the power windows and door locks and hinge out windows in my 75,000 mile 1995 G-30 1 ton. I hated to take the rust free bodies to the crusher but no one around here really wants those older vans. For the most part the bodies are perfect or very close to it. They might have a few dings and or need paint but you can buy a completely rust free van and swap those parts into that but even then they are not worth a ton of money. A buddy of mine just bought a low mileage, rust free 4x4 Pathfinder Conversion with a 4K Onan Jen Set mounted in the side for $4,000. He could sell the Gen Set on E-Bay for $1200-1500, so the van was not very much money.

My point is it depends on what you want.

1 Are you are buying the van to KEEP it?
If so you would be better off buying one that is already rust free and then fixing it up to your liking not the other way around. You can buy new seats and a bed if thats what appeals to you. There are rust free old GM vans all over the country and some of them have been converted to 4x4. They are on Craig's List around here from time to time and sometimes they start at under $1000, good bodies but need work. IF you are going to drive it in the snow and salt just fill the cavities with oil and keep it washed. A rust free van will still outlast a repaired once rusted one no matter what. I know there are lots of people in the rust zones that will spend endless time and money on something rusty but you would be better off getting a cheap rust free body and have it shipped to where you are and then swapping the parts (after sand blasting/cleaning them up and painting them) from the rusty Quigley into the nice body. When you are done sell all of the extra parts take the rusty metal and other body parts to a recyclers and get some $ for that stuff as well.

2 If you are going to buy the Quigley to repair and try to sell it?
If so you are wasting your time and money. 4x4 vans are for a limited audience and when someone is looking it has to be something special and very close to just what they have in mind if they are going to pay much for them.If they are on a limited budget they would rather buy the Quigley while it still needs work and fix it them self the way they want it to be.

Good Luck on what ever you decided to do.
