How to mount a Serengeti RTT to Thule

Hi Folks,
Just picked up my new Serengeti RTT :wings: and am wondering how people mount these to Thule bars? There's no mounting hardware or instructions included so I'm curious what others are doing. I'll check in with Fernando to see what he suggests but figured I'd see what everybody was doing.

Thanks!

We have a clamp system that we use to attach RTT's to the Thule racks on our Chaser trailers and cross bars on our Horizon trailers.

They just slide into the extrusion on the bottom of the tent and tighten around the roof bar. We find them to be quick, easy, and adjustable.

You can see them here

Thanks Guys
The problem with my mounting solution is that the Serengeti does not come with the tracks that other roof top tents do, it's supposed to be a direct mount. I thought I could mount thule tracks to the bottom of the tent and then use the track for the mounting hardware but... of course that means the cross bars won't be under the frame of the tent so I'm not sure the tracks would be strong enough to hold the weight unsupported when were inside the tent.

Do either of you sell the tracks that mount under the tents? Or think the thule would be strong enough?

My other option is to just drill directly into the thule bars using the outside frame rails, the down side is on the front bar the towers interfere so I would have to drill inside the towers.
What do you think?

You should be able to find steel or aluminum C channel the can be bolted to the bottom of the tent. The C channel should run front to rear and across the Thule bars... then you can buy or fashion a clamp from hardware available at most hardware stores.

If you want to call and discuss, I'll do what I can to help you out. I'm at 888-852-2359.

I have my tent mounted on Yakima cross bars using 8 bolts long enough to go through the bottom of the wood deck past the bars with these flat plates under the bar nuts washers etc.

The plates will bend as you tighten the nuts shaping it self around the bars. The flat plates are also used inside as washers. I didn't use the u-bolts this was the only picture I could find of the plate. The tent has been mounted that way for ten years with no problems

Tanks for posting this..Im looking into a serengiti myself soon. Quick question on it...how is the mattress and inside setup. The description says the mattress is smaller to allow room for bags and stuff inside. How small is it? I a looking at a large to sleep two adults, one child and a medium sized pup.
