Long story short, my dream is coming true with the support of my beloved wife.

I bought a 2025 International HV507 4*4, 219 wheelbase. Planning to build a 15/16' box, a sub-frame.

I was so happy when the chassis was delivered.

I ordered buckstop bumper / no lights / no winch.

I ordered 100gal + 50 gal fuel tanks

I ordered 22.5 offroad tires ( so difficult to locate 14/r20 tires)

I ordered 48v alternator.

I ordered baja designs lights.

I have it wrapped with PPF.

More coming as we are on holidays.

I got tons of questions and thoughts.

That’s interesting, but more drivetrain details please.
Axle ratio, lockers, tire size?
Which transfer case?
Transmission?
There’s a Roadranger I really like for offroad mobility, their RTO-11909ALL (or higher torque ratings)
It’s an 11 speed, 0.73 overdrive, 26:1 lowest gear.
Available in autoshifting version also.

I'm a mobile mechanic for the International dealer in Spokane WA. I approve of your purchase and if you ever make here stop and say hi. Did you get the Cummins L9 and Allison 3000 series trans? Diff locks?

I had little knowledge about a heavy duty truck although I had many offroad vehicles in my life. And International has a terrible website that tells you nothing you want to know not to mention the irresponsbiel dealers when they know you are a private buyer not using it for commercial purposes. I didn' t know anyting about the engine, horsepower and it was very difficult to find one in black. One day I was surfing the internet and came across this dealer 1800miles from me who happened to has a black one in stock. I immediate contacted them and wired downpayment. I only knew it is a heavy duty truck, 4*4. I also knew there would be no HV507 in 2026, a replacement model 509 with new engine will be available. But I don't like the look of 509. If I could choose, a mercedes Unimog / Aarco or a MAN would be my first and final. But those are not available in the US. There are only 2 OEM 4*4 heavy duty trucks, one is M2 106, one is HV507. Again I don't like the look of a M2 106. In short, the one I bought has Cummins LB9 engine, 240hp which I didn't realize at all. If I to order another one, I would choose to have at least 350hp. The GVWR is 31000lbs which means I need a non-commercial B driving license. The wheelbase is 219. So I can put a 15-16' box with overall lenght around 25'-25.5'. This is perfect. I don't want to make it too long or it would be manningless to have a 4*4.

Earthroamers are 29-35ft long, BTW. I have no idea where people go offroad with them... never seen one in the wild.
