I can finally be called an Old Man again as I bought an Old Man Van this week!
Bought another 23 Foot GMC Transmode coach with a interior conversion when new by Coachman. Yep the 23 foot Hot Rod! 455 power and more! The Coachman converted GMC Transmode's are regarded as the best as the interiors are all solid wood with a nice design and better materials.
I have had 4-5 of these 23 footers in the past. I think they are much better coaches than the 26 foot GMC's for many different reasons which include the 3 less feet in length. These coaches are about the same size as a long Sprinter, Ford or Ram conversion these days and are low at 9 foot 2 inches tall with tremendous headroom inside the coach. It came up for sale locally at a GREAT PRICE so just what I need another damn vehicle! Needs a good cleanup and some brake work. Brakes are a little soft from sitting. Interior cleanup will work wonders. May install new laminate flooring to get rid of the original carpet still in the coach.
Still have all the 4WD Pickups, the ATF 4WD 3500 Express van and the 1957 Avion R20 camper. Who knows when I will get to use all this crap!
