I need help!

My family and I just returned from our first 1000 mile trip in our (new to us) 2003 DC. We have taken similar distance trips in a Volvo 240 station wagon. We travel at night so the kids age 2, 7 & 9 sleep a big part of the way. Prior to buying the Tacoma I measured the back seat and the Tacoma and the 240 are almost the same in hip and leg room.

On this trip the kids complained about the seats.
My problem seems to be the seat back angle and included angle of the rear seats.

Has anyone moved the rear seats forward and opened up the included angle of the seat faces? I can do machine shop and fab work.

Thanks for any help!

good idea.

I agree, the angle is a little too upright. But so far my wife has not complained. I wonder if you would be better finding a another rear seat (from a Volvo?) and bolt that in place? Jay
