second how many maps will the 64 g model hold?

is it worth it to get the 64 g as opposed to the 32 g?

It will work with no service or wifi.

I would get the 64. I have downloaded tons of topos and hi res images and have tons of room, but having the 64 gives you plenty of buffer.

Im using the 64 gig 3g and its one of the best purchases I have made for my truck. You can use it everyday and its showed me how to get to a great place and back on multiple occasions. I would recommend 64 gig if you wanna put music pictures etc on it as well. Also if you get it I would recommend getting a ram mount for it. The universal tablet one allows you to have a case on it when you use it as well. I didnt want to put in on my small windshield with an already limited view so I got the one that mounts on your seat rails.

I've been using the first version of the iPad 3G/WiFi

Works great, and 64Gigs does give you a chance to load up whatever you want mapwise & other things such as video/foto/info.

No regrets on the fact that its a 1st Gen rather then the iPad2.

right about minute 3 of the video...
