Compared to the Navara, the Hilux cabin is marginally less luxurious. The stick shifter is taller/longer so it gives more a feel that you are driving a truck. The engine is surprisingly compact, leaving empty space for, say, another battery. It has the big, trademark Toyota squat cylindrical air filter.

Were it not enough, today I went to see a used BJ42 Land Cruiser that's for sale around here...
