Idea on fresh water roof rack setup.

Ive been thinking about a gobi roof rack even though it so expensive.

I was thinking maybe a awesome way for fresh water setup would be to make a flat wide water container that sides in the back of the rack and sits under the solar panel. Have a black runner tube come down and follow the ladder stopping at a good hand washing level with a spigot. So gravity would force water down and make it super easy to wash hands of fill bottles and what not. Could always modify for shower use. maybe a second hose for shower or make first one detachable and easy to hold above head. Does not really need lots of pressure just simple way to flow water onto body.

This would be similar to the pvc style setups but would be much cleaner and stealth, adding the ladder tube just makes it even simpler.

Two things to think about. First, water is almost the heaviest thing you carry so that puts c of g way up high. Second, you would want a fairly simple way to
refill it with a spigot or something, so you're not having to shift the container on and off. But having a good gravity system is nice.

I considered adding some large diameter black ABS pipes to the roof rack for a bit...
However Scepter jugs, one black (for solar gain) were just easier, and give a lower cg (center of gravity), when not on the roof.
