I couldn't stay out of the Montero game for long! I recently moved and finally have more room to park things.

Picked up this 1991 LS Montero Someone tired to steal it the night prior and broke both door cylinder locks and the key cylinder lock, however they could not get it started. Come next day the owner wanted it gone so I scooped it up quick!

Brought it over to my great friend Chai and he showed me how to bypass and remove the cylinder lock to get it started via the ignition switch. After adding some water and coolant it started right up! PO stated the motor was rebuild around 60k miles ago and I was left with a bible of service records, receipts, photos and even a DVD of the engine rebuild.

I plan it keep it simple for now, maybe do a NATO/UN style build but here are the next plans

- Service all the fluids
- Reseal transmission pan
- Replace idler/pitman arms
- Replace gaskets on External oil cooler
- TB/WP service
- Rod our radiator and replace all hoses
- Replace all cylinder locks
- Replace shocks

Meanwhile if anyone has any tan parts I would love to buy them off you!

- Steering wheel
- Steering wheel column covers
- radio bezel
