I'm overwhelmed.

I need software that I can use to plan offroad/backcountry travel in the Pacific Northwest. Something I can mark/plan routes with that will give me mileage, elevation gain/loss etc. Has to cover forest service roads.

I have a Mac and ipad mini that I will be utilizing. Any suggestions?

Get the Gaia app. You can create plan your track,download maps for offline use. Only app I use and I have travelled off-road allover the usa.
