Inexpensive DIY lock in/out mechanism for drawer slides (on a fridge slide)

Accuride, Fulterer, and Hettich all make nice lock in/out drawer slides - i've used Accuride before, but depending on the length they all run $120+ easily. i decided to go for an inexpensive but highly usable DIY mechanism on my recent fridge slide:

get the spring indexing pin here ($5-$25 depending on size/style/steel type): http://amzn.to/2ctWD1M - be sure to read the dimensions because many of them use the exact same picture (so one with a 1/8" thick pin looks just like one with a 3/8" on Amazon).

i saw that a guy on here even made his own slides using just ball bearings and bolts: http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/159292-DIY-fridge-slide. that looks nicely done but i was imagining it could take a lot of tinkering to get everything adjusted to not rattle any and open/close smoothly, so i just went ahead and bought the actual slides for mine. i used these Centerline 758 series in the 28" length: http://amzn.to/2bYcbxz - purchased at the local Rockler store. i think $55/pair for 220 lb rated slides is a good deal - anything above the typical 100 lb rating seems to increase the price quite a bit.

the fridge shown in the video is a Dometic CFX-65DZUS: http://amzn.to/2cQGT9x

Very slick, thanks for sharing.

Also:

Nicely done!

FYI, ORR and ORR make the cheapest heavy-duty slides I've found. I just installed their 48" (non-locking) slide in my own project - it's very nice.

Thanks for this link. Construction looks quite similar to Accuride for a more reasonable price. I will be using the 30" extensions on my build.
