Insulation in expo trailer box

I kind of want to paint my trailer black, but I am worried about it becoming an oven. 4'x8'x1" foam insulation covered with foil is cheap and available at any building supply. I am also looking into vents to move some air on the road, but i doubt it will help at low speed. Am I trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist? Is anyone trying to keep the temperature down inside the box?

Absolutely, either aluminum skin or white, a very light grey at most.

And a Fantastic Fan or MaxxAir absolutely, vent at the opposite end.

Living in a sauna is no fun at all

Put some vents in that for sure.

Maybe you can scavage some dust off the roadways and keep it cleaner for the rest of us.

If you are sleeping in this, a fan and good screened ventilation is a must.

My white shell gets hot,it is insulated with 1'' foam,insulation holds in heat,black sounds toasty.Somewhere in the link below PapaW used a paint that reduced the temp.

No thin coating insulates effectively, beware scammers.

Reflecting sun's rays, yes.

Rigid foam like polyiso is insulation, but unless you're running aircon or heater within, just stick to shading & ventilation.

Do add insulation to the fridge though, and ventilate the electronics & condenser areas.
