Insulation using, Spray Foam

I choose the BASF Spray foam closed cell should be the best for this application. I DO HOPE SO!



If you choose to insulate using the same spray foam you need to request to have an experienced person, this will save you time after.



A day after spraying the foam.



And so much overspray now the hard work start.



This will take time.



Cutting all this overspray is so hard for you, makes you sleep good at night.



It’s so satisfying when you finished one just one side



Nice to see the handle on the door again

Looks like hard work. But unless you insulate the aluminum ribs you won´t have very good insulation and condensation issues. These ribs are a perfect thermal bridge.

Closed cell foam is the best option for this application. I would have made up a hot wire cutter sized to fit between the battens, far less labour expended using this method.

Will you be insulating the floor (interior or underside)?
