Interesting heat/APU system on ebay

Never was aware of a trailer heat system that incorporated an internal combustion motor but it makes sense.

Might be a pretty good deal; usually hard to find a small diesel motor alone for under $1000, and an A/C compressor could be added. Or maybe it would be overkill...

Interesting and a decent price too even though it looks quite large. I think webasto and espar diesel air heaters are probably more compatible w/ the requirements of a smaller vehicle. A webasto diesel air heater is about 4"x4"x15". Of course, there's a bunch of hoses that stick out of it.

Unfortunately it's well used, probably scavenged parts from other units. They pulled the refrigeration portion off the unit prior to listing it. I've seen them before, not a bad price, but all you're getting is a blower and heat from the motor. In a complete unit there is a set of refrigeration coils that go in front of the fan, and the compressor and condensor are wrapped around the engine area of the box to provide cooling.

Tough part is where to put it once you get it?
