Interior Bike rack

I have a 4th Gen 4runner that I'm trying to work out a rike mount system on the interior for. I just found this from Saris

Has anyone here used this setup? I think it might be too tall to clear the handlebars inside when mounted.

The bars will clear, have to lower the seat post though.

You can pick those bed fork mounts at any bicycle shop. I mounted mine to a 2X6.

I have one of the Rocky Mount ones in the back of my truck. For after work rides I prefer to have it inside the camper all day sitting in the parking lot. Same experience, handlebars clear, seat does not.

I dont have any advice about fitment issues, but I had a similar setup in my XJ and hated it. I liked the security of having my bike inside but constantly raising and lowering the seat bothered me. Also there was no way to get the bike in the truck without getting dirt and mud all over the carpet. That wasn't much of an issue on my older truck, but you might not appreciate it in a newer truck.
