Interior on 10' non cabover Alaskan

I am contemplating what to do with the interior on my 1970's Alaskan. The paneling that is in it now is badly water damaged and needs total replacement. I wanted to keep the look as close to original as I can without spending a fortune. I have determined the wood used on most of the earlier Alaskans was Birch, but what I have not determined is the thickness of the original wood. Does anyone know what it was, or better yet what will work? 1/8 inch is nice and bendy, but 1/4 inch has better structural soundness. Could 1/4 inch bend to the radius inside an alaskan?

I would contact the factory . I have called several times to pick their brain and they usually have the right answers. Most good hardwood supply stores sell a type of plywood for bending . I will try to come up with the name for you.. bob
