IPAD sleeves and covers

Hello,

I've been looking for something to cover up my Ipad while traveling. I've seen many of the usual suspects on the net and was wondering if anyone has found anything 'unique'. The following are the ones I am considering so far:

Otterbox: Seems pretty tough, but doesn't have a 'folding' front to protect the screen.

The MSG: Kind of too "tacticool" maybe for me, but seems to be the style I am looking for.

And finally the Temple - really nice - but maybe too $$ for my application.

Anyone have any other ideas or any experience with any of these?

Thanks,
Tim

The Otterbox Defender is well made, gives superb protection, but is too bulky for me. (If someone is interested in one NIB, send me a pm)

One I'm intrigued by is the Zaggmate. I'd love to hear from someone who's seen one of these, either keyboard type or hard case alone.

The one I use for my iPad is from Logic3, a black leather slip case with a magnetic flap across the top -- similar to my Blackberry case. It's compact, high quality, and has held up well to world travels for many months now. I got it in duty free at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam -- haven't seen it in the US. It's ideal for my light use 'cause it preserves the slim, lightweight profile of the iPad.

My mother has the zagg keyboard/case and it is covered with the protective film. She has been pleased with it. I may snag one myself.

Both my wife and I have the Zagg keyboard for our iPads, and love em. The keyboards charge on USB cable, and have never had one shut off on me. Very happy with the looks when closed also.

My only negative is the design of the little plastic fold-able prop up that is used....seem they could have designed it better. That being said...we've been using them for a while....and no problems.

Now what to do with all the other stands and covers we've run thru...

ill give a plug for Otterbox. LOVE there cases, truely rugged and water resistant. bablefish makes a laptop type case for the ipad that incorperates a bluetooth keyboard and a carrying handle that is pretty nice.

I'm using a Project Riot cover for the back of mine. Very stylish & realistic looking lizard patterned "leatherette". I also have Invisible Shield which I HIGHLY recommend for your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.

Even with a good cover, if it's not fully sealed you will likely get dust between the cover and the iPad and this is what will scratch the finish if you don't use something like Invisible Shield. FWIW, it was originally used to reduce wear on helicopter blades in harsh desert environments so it will likely handle protecting my iPad from abrasions.

I also have a case logic bag I use to transport the iPad when I'm not using it. I like it over the other cases since it allows me to carry other things with the iPad including a charger if needed.

Fwiw, I've used both the apple vinyl slip case as well as an aftermarket leather case. Too bulky for me.

I do like the zagg case/keyboard but I like the lightness of the ipad and don't want it to become a netbook/laptop.
