I've got a Ipaq PDA h2215 that is I believe 4 years old that I want to make into a gps device for my rig.
I want to do it the cheapest way possible.
I am a complete newbie to making a GPS system (I do have a magellen for the streets for my wife in her car) so I would appreciate any and all help. Where is a good place to start?
What is a good cheap antenna to use?
Good mapping software??

I have a HP 6900 series Ipaq.

I use it for international travel w/ turn by turn directions...mainly the USA / Europe.

I loaded iGo software and it works fine.

the 6900 has a built in GPS antenna.

hope it helps.
