After looking at my pictures, it seems I only have pictures of the clothing in use - I'll have to take some of the clothing themselves later if you're curious to see them!
These pictures are from a recent trip I did in Yosemite, CA. I'm enamored by traditional clothing; although heavier, I love the durability, cheap cost, and history behind it. I'm still young so I don't mind carrying the extra weight =P.
Here is an image of a 10.10oz Army duck waxed canvas jacket. It is lovely material, and I use it for everything from jackets to vehicle dash pads.
And this is a picture of a wool jacket and gaiters also made from waxed canvas.
I have my own opinions about wool clothing usage that I'll save you from, but my personal feeling is that by making your own clothing you can customize it to your use; I work in small details like a gusset around the neck to block wind, asymmetric pockets that I can access with my backpack on and in gloves, etc.
I learned a bunch from bushcraftusa.com, there are a lot of great people that make their own gear.
Just so you know, getting the fit correct is not likely to happen on the first round.
I agree with Pedro, fitting is definitely an art I'm trying to master; it took me many tries with junk fabric to get the fit I like!
