a Chinese company bought the rights to make it (amazing they didnt just pirate it like the usually do.)
Quality has dropped significantly, but I hear on the internets they are still pretty good. considerably cheaper than the US made ones, i think i saw one on ebay go for 20 million.

When I was working there, they had switched from turbo encabulators to retro encabulators. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXJKdh1KZ0w But that was 10 years ago.
