James Baroud mounted to '10 Subaru Outback OEM roof rack - bad idea?

So as the title states, this is what we want to do. We picked up this rrt from a guy who used it once - we had it on my old truck and we love the thing. So that's why we want to put it on our Subaru Outback.

The problem is, if you look at the Subaru OEM bars, man, they look super flimsy. Here it is on my old truck.

The idea is for my daughter and her friend to be able to take the subaru on little camping excursions locally and I don't want them to have a problem with losing the thing on the 5 during rush hour or something. Does anybody have first hand experience with running this kind of set up?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, the pic on your old truck is nice, but pics of the bars on the Subaru for Expedition Portal opinions and an inquiry to JB would help you more.

I have had my Baroud on my 2016 Outback. I chose to buy some Yakima landing pads and new round bars. They won't cost too much and you can probably find something similar for your 2010.

I'm 250 lbs and didn't have any problem being up there. But, I didn't have any company.
