James Baroud roof tent rattling against roof rack -- any advice?

Just got a James Baroud Evasion. It's amazing.

But, whenever I drive over even small bumps, it rattles. From the attached photo you can see the small gap between the tent and the crossbars towards the end of the bar. From what I can observe, that is the thing that's making noise -- the tent bounces against the crossbar. Just the sides of the tent bounce, not the section directly connected to the crossbars.

The tent is mounted securely, it was installed by a local dealer in Seattle and I just tightened all the nuts to make sure.

Would love to figure out a solution. Any ideas?

Congrats on the tent. We just got ours up and mounted this past weekend and will try it out this weekend.

Personally, I would try a little foam or rubber or something like that up there and see what that does to cushion it. I haven't even driven with mine on yet. I might have the same issue waiting for me...

I ended up finding some adhesive foam on amazon. Going to give that a shot and see.

Did you ever end up find a solution that works? I’ve tried a few things (rubber, heavy duty felt) but nothing seems to really help. It’s either too soft and the tent goes right through it, or too firm and it just rattles against it.
