This article is 2 weeks old...can’t find any updates.

The last article below also notes that the already on the road rigs are getting recalled too
Anyone else know what’s new here?

Jeep's Hot-Selling Gladiator under Stop-Sale Order for Driveshaft Problem

  • Fiat Chrysler is temporarily stopping sales of the popular Jeep Gladiatorpickup truck because of a manufacturing defect.
  • Certain models built between December and June may have a driveshaft joint that was built without the proper grease, NHTSA reported.
  • If the joint fails due to friction, it could cause a fracture that could lead to a crash.

Sales of Jeep Gladiator Halted Over Driveshaft Problem
This one states that the already on the road rigs are getting recalled too

What’s weird is, if the grease is the only issue, you’d think that the status of this simple sounding repair would be up the boards by now. But I googled this issue today and couldn’t find any news at all as to when the Gladiators would be available again???

The Jeep Gladiator recall is expected to begin October 18, 2019. Jeep dealers will replace the driveshafts, but customers with questions should call 800-853-1403 and make reference to recall number V95.

An updated Story on this says!

Don't drive your Gladiator if you hear strange noises from the rear axle.

You have to call the majik number and memorize the SB number because dealers are nearly all too incompetent to look it up themselves. It's really quite sad.

You should be able to walk in, grunt, toss the keys on the desk, and point to your new gladiator, and they'll figure it out. That's pretty much how my gig goes.

I got notification via the uconnect vehicle health report to call my dealership for the recall. I called and they said they had no information on mitigation and probably wouldn't for 2-3 months based on past experience. I have 10,400 miles on mine with a thousand or so miles towing my airstream, so I'm not too worried that it's going to have an issue, but even if it does it's up to them to fix it.

There was NOT a general stop sale of Gladiators...only of certain models built through June 25. A total of about 3500 are affected. And it's simple to see if your vehicle is one of them. Just go to https://www.mopar.com/en-us/my-vehicle/recalls/search.html or recalls.gov. Don't call the dealer...they are usually clueless. Parts to fix the issue are supposed to be available Oct. 18. I ordered on April 27 but my order was delayed because of the shortage of steel bumpers. It was 103 days from order to delivery. The silver lining in the delay is that mine was not built until July 14 so is not included in the recall.
