Jeep Liberty 12v Temp power.

I'm planning a trip with my parents and we are taking 2 vehicles. I wanted to know the easiest way to hook up power for a CB or 2M radio. I would imagine right off the cig/ aux but those typically have a lot of feedback on the handset. A small fuse block with a + and a ground found somewhere in the cab was what I was thinking.

I have two and it is just the opposite, the one that I run off of the 12v cig lighter has a bunch of noise, while the one off of a aux fuse block is quiet. And the loud on is the more expensive of the two, by about tripple, so go figure.

I pulled the trim where the cig lighter is and tapped into the line adding an inline fuse. I get no detectable noise on mine.

I did the same as jg45 and have no noise what so ever on my CB, mounted the CB under the drivers seat with a external speaker, all nice and hidden
