So, when did Renault own the Jeep brand? I know they installed their Diesels in the export models but never knew Jeep was owned by the French.

When AMC was owned by Renault...until Chrysler and AMC took each other over in 1987.

That was my selection, but it came up incorrect with Renault being the correct answer. Maybe i can file an appeal...

Mercedes never owned Jeep. DaimlerChrysler AG did. Big difference. Mercedes is a seperate group from Chrysler, and the Truck group. DaimlerChrysler is the parent company of Chrysler and Mercedes.
