Jerry Can Spout Mod

Not the craziest mod ever... but i figured i'd share anyways, in case someone was trying to find a spout too.

This is something i've been trying to do forever. Ever since i saw the Australian can with the tap on it (that manafre seems to NEVER get in). So i did it myself. The hardest part was tracking down a tap with a flange on it without needing a nut on the inside! This was really hard to find. A buddy of mine actually ended up finding one at RV shop online ( ive searched high and low! and all of the local RV shops TRUST ME!)

Anyways here's how it came out... no super impressive pic.. but now we can wash our hands and do whatever we need with the water outback on the bumper.

Excellent idea.
How is it for sturdiness, in case it gets hit by something?
Any concern about getting dirt into the spout while driving...

Thanks but the idea wasn't mine.. i just needed to track down that dang spout!

How are you going to hit it? I would have to back up into a 4 foot pile of rubble and nail my rear setup anyways for it to get nailed. My buddy has one on his can and it points straight back and he's never once hit his. It's pretty hard plastic. Im not worried about it. Plus i ordered a few spares for years to come.

Any dirt you might pick up will be gone in the first few seconds it's open.

Cool idea, I'm picturing putting one of those small cheap party balloons over the tip for driving. I do a lot of mud:)

I think a few dead German engineers just turned over in there graves:(

That's okay, there are 4 more up on the rack that haven't been modified whatsoever. The one on the back is strictly used for water anyhow.
